Adipoma

An Adipoma is a benign tumor composed of mature fat cells. It is a type of lipoma. Adipomas are typically soft, painless, slow-growing subcutaneous masses, meaning they are located just beneath the skin. While generally harmless, they can be surgically removed if they cause discomfort, cosmetic concerns, or if there's uncertainty about the diagnosis. They are typically encapsulated and easily movable under the skin.
