Anapest
An anapest is a metrical foot in poetry consisting of two unstressed syllables followed by a stressed syllable. It creates a rhythmic effect often described as a galloping or rising beat. This foot can add a sense of urgency, playfulness, or even a march-like quality depending on the poem's subject and the poet's intention. Anapestic meter often has a lilting quality, propelling the poem forward.
