Apathetic

Apathetic describes a state of lacking interest, enthusiasm, or concern. Individuals experiencing apathy show indifference to things that typically evoke strong emotions or reactions in others. This lack of emotional response can extend to social situations, personal well-being, and even significant events. It often stems from feelings of powerlessness, exhaustion, or detachment and can be a symptom of various mental health conditions, such as depression, or a consequence of prolonged stress and disillusionment. Apathetic individuals may appear passive, uninterested in helping others, and may struggle to find motivation.
