Apathy is a state of indifference, lack of emotion, feeling, concern, or interest. It's characterized by a diminished response to stimuli that would typically evoke a reaction, such as joy, sadness, or anger. This emotional detachment can manifest across various aspects of life, including relationships, work, and personal pursuits. Apathetic individuals may appear detached, listless, and unmotivated, often displaying a lack of initiative and a tendency to withdraw from social engagement.
