Astigmatic

Astigmatic, as an adjective, describes a condition of the eye or vision where the cornea or lens is irregularly curved, resulting in blurred or distorted vision at all distances. This imperfection prevents light from focusing properly on the retina, leading to difficulty discerning fine details, lines appearing wavy, and potential headaches or eye strain. Astigmatism can occur independently or alongside other refractive errors like nearsightedness (myopia) or farsightedness (hyperopia). It is commonly corrected with glasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery.
