Caldera
A caldera is a large volcanic crater, typically more than 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) in diameter, formed by the collapse of a volcano after a major eruption. This collapse occurs when the magma chamber beneath the volcano is partially or completely emptied, leading to insufficient support for the overlying rock.
