Centipede

A centipede is a predatory arthropod belonging to the class Chilopoda. These elongated, segmented creatures have numerous legs, typically one pair per body segment, except for the first segment which has modified appendages that form venomous fangs. They are nocturnal hunters, preying on insects and other small invertebrates. Centipedes range in size, with some species reaching lengths of over a foot.
