Its primary purpose is to slow down or redirect the enemy's advance, allowing the builder or their allies time to reposition, regroup, or prepare a counter-offensive. Chargewalls can vary in size and complexity, ranging from a hastily erected pile of debris to a more carefully constructed obstruction incorporating multiple elements like sandbags, furniture, or natural formations. Success of the 'chargewall' relies on its effective concealment, durability, and strategic positioning, thereby gaining tactical advantage. The name itself implies its capability to 'charge' or impede enemy momentum.
