Debators
Debaters are individuals who engage in formal or informal arguments, discussions, or contests, presenting opposing viewpoints on a particular topic. They construct and articulate reasoned arguments, provide evidence to support their claims, and attempt to persuade an audience or judge of the validity of their position. Effective debaters possess strong critical thinking, research, communication, and listening skills, as they must both defend their own arguments and effectively refute those of their opponents. The goal is to either win the debate or enlighten on both sides of an argument. They often have a particular skill for presenting arguments using formal and organized methods.
