Derealized
Derealized describes the experience of feeling detached from one's surroundings, as if the world isn't real, or as if one is observing it from a distance. This altered perception can manifest as a sense of unreality, distance, or distortion in the environment. People experiencing derealization may describe objects and people appearing foggy, dreamlike, artificial, or strangely unfamiliar, even when they recognize them intellectually.
