Elixir

An Elixir is a magical or medicinal potion, often believed to have extraordinary powers, such as granting immortality, curing diseases, or enhancing physical or mental abilities. Historically, elixirs were sought by alchemists aiming to transmute base metals into gold, and by physicians seeking cures for various ailments. The term can also be used metaphorically to describe anything perceived as a highly effective solution or a source of great joy and vitality. It usually contains herbal extracts, but can have a variety of base ingredients depending on its intended use. Elixirs evoke notions of transformation and hidden power.
