Epee

The epee is one of the three weapons used in the sport of fencing. It is a thrusting weapon with a triangular blade and a large bell guard, distinguished from the foil and sabre by its point-only scoring rule and its heavier weight. The entire body is a valid target. Hits are scored by the tip of the epee touching the opponent. Unlike the other two weapons, right of way rules do not apply in epee, meaning whoever hits first scores.
