Flews

Flews, often used in the plural, refer to the pendulous or fleshy lips, especially the lower ones, of a canine. These flaps of skin, located on either side of the jaw, contribute to a dog's distinctive facial features. The size and shape of flews vary significantly across different dog breeds. They can be dry and tight, or loose and prominent. The condition, 'flews', can sometimes cause the dog to drool more, thus the word is most often associated with the canid family.
