Flooder
A 'flooder' is an individual or entity that intentionally or unintentionally causes a significant and often detrimental influx or excess of something, typically data, information, or a physical element like water. This can manifest in various contexts, including online platforms where excessive posting or spamming is considered flooding. It can also describe someone responsible for an overflow of a physical resource like water, often with negative consequences for the environment or people. The term also includes acts in cyber security such as denial of service attack through a large amount of information, making the attacked target unavailable.
