It represents the process or place of forgetting, characterized by the fading, misplacement, or complete erasure of past experiences, knowledge, or feelings. This can range from the mundane, like misplacing keys, to the profound, such as suppressing traumatic memories, and also includes technological implementations, or neurological areas involved in the storage and retrieval of memories. It is also meant to cover any instances of intentional efforts to suppress or block recall of information.
