Free-falling
Free-falling describes the state of an object or individual accelerating solely under the influence of gravity, without any supporting forces like air resistance or a parachute immediately acting upon them. This results in a constant, downwards acceleration (approximately 9.8 m/s² on Earth), often associated with experiences like skydiving before parachute deployment or a plummeting object. It can also be used metaphorically to describe a rapid and uncontrolled decline in a situation or system, be it financial, emotional or social.
