Fulmar

A seabird of the genus *Fulmarus*, belonging to the Procellariidae family (petrels and shearwaters). They are known for their distinctive tube-nosed nostrils, sturdy build, and strong, often rancid-smelling, stomach oil they can eject as a defense mechanism. Fulmars are pelagic, spending most of their lives at sea, only coming to land to breed on cliffs and rocky shores in the Arctic and North Atlantic. They are primarily grey and white in colour. Their diet consists mainly of fish, squid, and crustaceans, with a tendency towards scavenging at sea.
