Hemoconcentration refers to a condition where there's a significant decrease in the fluid content of the blood, leading to a relative increase in the concentration of blood cells (primarily red blood cells), proteins, and other blood components. This can result from fluid loss, such as dehydration from vomiting, diarrhea, or excessive sweating, or from fluid shifts, like those observed in burn patients. hemoconcentration can affect blood viscosity and overall blood circulation.
