Illusion

An Illusion is a deceptive appearance or impression of reality. It is a perception that misrepresents the true nature of something, often caused by errors in sensory processing, cognitive biases, or trickery. Illusions can occur in any of the senses, including sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. They can range from harmless perceptual quirks to elaborate deceptions, and are often used in art, entertainment, and magic to create surprising or misleading effects. Understanding illusions helps us appreciate the limitations of human perception and the ways in which our minds construct our experience of the world. It is a subjective experience that is perceived differently by everyone, and the level of deception differs for each person. Illusions often exploit the brain's tendency to fill in gaps and make assumptions based on prior experiences and knowledge.
