Inkfish

An 'inkfish' is a common term, often used informally, referring to cephalopods, particularly those known for their ability to release ink as a defense mechanism. This encompasses a variety of marine animals including octopuses, squids, and cuttlefish. They are characterized by their soft bodies, prominent eyes, and typically ten or eight arms (tentacles) used for capturing prey and maneuvering.
