Leugher

A 'leugher' (pronounced LOO-er) is a person who, through their words or actions, intentionally creates and perpetuates falsehoods, often with the aim of deceiving or misleading others. This individual is driven by deceit, and will often construct elaborate narratives designed to conceal the truth. A leugher might spread misinformation, embellish stories, or fabricate details to suit their agenda, often with malicious intent, or simply for their personal gain. They are masters of deception, weaving intricate webs of lies that can be difficult to unravel. The term is rooted in the Scottish Gaelic word 'leugh,' meaning 'to read' but by extension, to fabricate or create in words. They take no pleasure in the truth.
