Macaron

A delicate, meringue-based confection, composed of two almond flour-based cookies filled with a flavored buttercream, ganache, or jam filling. Known for their smooth, crisp shells, soft interior, and vibrant colors, macarons are a hallmark of French patisserie. They offer a delightful textural contrast and a wide array of flavors, from classic vanilla and chocolate to more exotic options like pistachio and raspberry. The perfect macaron is easily distinguishable by its 'pied', a delicate 'foot' around the bottom edge.
