Mediated
In a process, 'mediated' means to be brought about, caused, or influenced by an intermediary or agent. It suggests a third party or factor facilitated the interaction, communication, or outcome. This agent can be a person, a technology, an environmental condition, or an internal process. It can imply negotiation, intervention, or facilitation to achieve a particular goal, often bridging a gap or resolving a conflict between opposing forces or entities. The focus is on the mechanism or entity that enables the outcome rather than a direct, unmediated cause and effect.
