Medifixation
Medifixation is a term describing the act or process of becoming overly focused on, or obsessed with, medical treatments, tests, diagnoses, or the pursuit of health. This can manifest as excessive worry about one's health, frequently seeking medical advice, and engaging in a disproportionate amount of self-monitoring or medical interventions, often to an extent that becomes detrimental to one's well-being, relationships, or daily life. It can also involve a strong reliance on medical solutions and neglecting other factors affecting health. medifixation can sometimes overlap with health anxiety and hypochondria but doesn't necessarily include them.
