Millipede

A millipede is an arthropod belonging to the class Diplopoda, characterized by a long, segmented body with two pairs of legs per segment (except for a few initial segments with only one pair). They are generally detritivores, feeding on decaying organic matter like leaf litter and wood. Millipedes typically have a cylindrical body shape and move slowly. They are primarily found in moist environments, hiding under rocks, logs, and in soil. They possess defensive mechanisms like coiling into a spiral shape or secreting noxious chemicals.
