Non-repurposability

Non-repurposability refers to the characteristic of something – a product, content, data, or resource – that renders it unsuitable or impractical for use in a different context or for a purpose other than its original intended function. This is often due to factors like incompatibility with other systems, format limitations, licensing restrictions, or embedded dependencies. It implies a lack of adaptability and a resistance to being modified or used for alternative applications, resulting in reduced flexibility and potential value. Essentially, once created for a specific use, it cannot easily or effectively be adapted for another.
