The term often pertains to cells, glands, and tissues, which have either lost the capacity to secrete, or have never had it.

Non-secreting meaning with examples

• The histological analysis of the patient's salivary glands revealed a significant number of non-secreting cells, indicating potential damage from the radiation therapy. These cells had lost their normal function and were not contributing to saliva production. Consequently, the patient experienced severe dry mouth and needed frequent oral hydration.
