A Partisan is an individual who strongly supports a specific political party, cause, or person, often to the point of being biased or unwilling to consider opposing viewpoints. This allegiance can manifest in unwavering loyalty, zealous advocacy, and a tendency to prioritize the interests of their chosen side above objective truth or the common good. Partisanship often involves emotional investment, influencing how information is processed and how decisions are made. It can fuel political polarization and hinder compromise, as individuals may be more concerned with defeating their opponents than finding common ground. The term can also describe a member of a resistance force operating in enemy-occupied territory, fighting guerrilla warfare.
