Post-requisites

Post-requisites refer to the conditions, requirements, skills, or completed coursework that are necessary or highly recommended to be fulfilled *after* a particular course, program, or stage of learning or development has been completed. Unlike pre-requisites which must be met before, post-requisites often involve applying acquired knowledge, demonstrating proficiency, or pursuing further study to deepen understanding or gain advanced standing. They ensure a sequential and logical progression of knowledge, facilitating the building of expertise and specialization. These may be in the form of subsequent courses, certifications, independent projects, clinical experience or further application of acquired knowledge in real-world settings. These are sometimes confused with 'co-requisites' which need to be taken at the same time as a target course.
