Pre-installed
The term 'pre-installed' describes software, applications, or other components that are already present and ready to use on a device, such as a computer, smartphone, or other electronic equipment, when it is first purchased or received by the user. This eliminates the need for the user to manually download and set up these items, providing immediate functionality. Often seen as a convenience, pre-installed items can streamline the user experience and offer a quick start. However, there are instances where pre-installed software is unwanted, referred to as bloatware, and can take up valuable storage space and resources. The presence of such items does not imply the user's consent or endorsement, instead being based on commercial arrangements between the device maker and software vendor. This term is in contrast to something being installed by the user or post-purchase.
