Pulp

The soft, fleshy part of a fruit or vegetable; a wet, fibrous material, especially wood, that is processed to make paper; or something written or created that is considered to be of low quality, often sensational or lurid. In a more general sense, 'pulp' can describe a soft, mushy consistency. Its association with low-quality literature stems from its use in cheap, mass-produced magazines known as 'pulp magazines'.
