Furthermore, the object or system in question is designed or inherently suited to being fixed; or, if it is not, humans may develop new techniques over time that change that attribute of the object/system. A 'repairable' entity can be contrasted with something that is irredeemable, beyond fixing, or intrinsically destined to fail entirely and for good. The key element is the possibility of restoration to a state of at least partial functionality.
