Root-rotting
Root-rotting describes the process by which the roots of a plant decay, usually as a result of fungal or bacterial infections, or environmental conditions like excessive moisture or poorly draining soil. This decay can lead to the plant's decline and eventual death, as the roots are unable to absorb water and nutrients essential for survival. The condition often manifests with symptoms such as yellowing leaves, stunted growth, and wilting, and can spread rapidly within a plant population if not addressed promptly. Management strategies often involve improving drainage, using fungicides, and removing infected plant material. root-rotting can be a devastating issue for gardeners and farmers alike.
