Sanitisophobia is the persistent, excessive, and irrational fear of sanitizers, particularly hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, and cleaning agents often containing alcohol or other chemicals. This phobia can manifest in a variety of ways, from avoidance of public places where sanitizers are available to compulsive hand-washing to counteract perceived contamination or danger.
