They often involve a lapse in judgment, a forgotten detail, or a miscalculation that results in an undesired result, creating an awkward or compromising situation for those affected.

Fortunately, she quickly corrected herself and continued without further incident, but it added a slight imperfection to the talk. It served as a lesson for her to remain vigilant. However the audience members could see that she recovered. They thought it was cute.
