Stag

A male deer, especially a mature one with large, branching antlers. The term is also used informally to refer to a bachelor or a man who attends a social event without a female companion. In a less common usage, 'stag' can refer to a type of performance where a horse is made to appear as though it's standing on its hind legs, a practice seen in dressage. Historically, it described a person, usually a man, who worked alone, not as part of a team. More generally, it describes something that happens only on one's own.
