Sublettee
A sublettee is an individual or entity who leases a property or part of a property from an existing tenant (the sublessor), rather than directly from the landlord. This arrangement, known as subletting, typically requires the landlord's consent and is governed by the terms outlined in the original lease agreement. The sublettee assumes the rights and responsibilities of a tenant, including paying rent, adhering to the lease terms, and maintaining the property in good condition. Essentially, the sublettee 'steps into the shoes' of the original tenant for the duration of the sublease.
