Triped
Triped (often used informally) describes the act of tripping or causing someone to trip, typically involving stumbling or losing one's balance due to an obstruction or misstep. It can also refer to an action or incident that causes a failure, setback, or mistake in a plan or endeavor. The word implicitly carries a sense of clumsiness, inadvertence, or an unexpected disruption. The severity can range from a minor stumble to a complete fall, or from a small mishap to a significant failure. It also can describe the person that does the tripping. While less common, the word can be used to describe something causing a similar effect, such as "the rogue root triped the entire forest."
