Uncoatable meaning with examples

• The experimental polymer, unfortunately, proved to be uncoatable. Its extremely low surface energy repelled the paint, resulting in beading and insufficient coverage. This uncoatable property rendered it unusable in this application, as the final product needed a uniform, durable finish for protection against weathering and abrasion, failing the quality control process.
