To strip something of its conceptual framework, assumptions, or pre-existing ideas; to approach a subject or problem without preconceived notions, biases, or established categories. It involves a deliberate effort to suspend existing mental models and engage with information or experience in a fresh, unbiased manner. This process may involve deconstructing established understanding to allow for novel perspectives or insights. It often seeks a more direct, less mediated understanding of a phenomenon. This often allows for the formation of new concepts or models after the initial step of removing existing constructs.
