Unmetabolism refers to the state of a biological system, often a cell or organism, where metabolic processes are significantly hindered, suppressed, or non-functional, leading to an inability to synthesize or break down essential compounds efficiently. This may stem from genetic defects, environmental stressors, or deficiencies in necessary resources. It results in an overall decline of energy production, growth, and survival.
