Deconditioned refers to a state of reduced physical fitness, strength, or endurance, resulting from a period of inactivity, illness, injury, or reduced physical exertion. It signifies a loss of the body's ability to perform tasks at its previous level of efficiency due to physiological changes. These changes can include muscle atrophy, decreased cardiovascular capacity, weakened bones, and altered metabolic function.
