Draft
A draft is a preliminary version of a written work, plan, or design, often subject to revision. It can also refer to a current of air entering or leaving an enclosed space, or to a selection process, such as selecting players for a sports team or personnel for military service. Furthermore, "draft" can describe the depth of a vessel's hull below the waterline, or the act of consuming a drink, especially alcoholic beverages, in one large gulp. The word's versatility allows it to be applied to numerous scenarios involving creation, movement, selection, measurement, and action.
