Foam

Foam refers to a mass of small bubbles formed on the surface of a liquid, typically resulting from agitation, fermentation, or the presence of a foaming agent. It can also describe a material made of porous, lightweight, or foamed substances, often used for insulation, cushioning, or cleaning. The consistency of foam can range from light and airy to thick and dense. Foam's formation is a dynamic process, with bubbles constantly forming, merging, and dissipating. The size, density, and duration of foam depend on various factors, including the liquid's composition, the presence of stabilizing agents, and the degree of agitation.

• The frothy foam of the cappuccino cascaded over the edge of the mug, forming a delicate white layer. He carefully scooped the rich foam from the top of the brewing beer. The wind whipped the ocean into a frenzy, creating a swirling foam around the crashing waves. After a long run, sweat-laden water became a light foam on his forehead due to exertion.
