Lackeys

Lackeys are individuals who are excessively subservient and eager to please those in positions of power. They often perform menial tasks or offer flattery, sometimes to the point of obsequiousness, in the hopes of gaining favor or reward. The term implies a lack of independent thought and a willingness to compromise personal integrity for personal gain. Historically, the term referred to footmen or attendants; however, its meaning has broadened to encompass anyone exhibiting servile behavior.
