Rather meaning with examples

• I'd rather stay home tonight. The alternative is going to that crowded party, which holds very little appeal for me. I find comfort and relaxation in a quiet evening at home, away from the noise and forced interactions. I am content to read my book and watch a movie, rather than socializing among strangers, that hold little importance for my evening.
• She's not exactly thrilled, but she seems rather pleased with the outcome. While her face wasn’t showing obvious jubilation, the slight upturn of her lips, coupled with her calm demeanor, led me to that conclusion. Considering the initial challenges, her reaction is unexpected and it signals a positive shift in perspective. In comparison, my expectations weren't high.
• The report is not inaccurate, rather, incomplete. The initial assessment of the situation provides only a partial picture, neglecting the deeper issues and complexities. The core data provided is accurate in its reporting, however it excludes the critical context of events that should be included. The true explanation is more nuanced.
