Stupor

A state of near-unconsciousness or insensibility; a daze. It is characterized by reduced awareness of one's surroundings, slowed responses, and difficulty thinking or feeling. Often caused by illness, injury, drugs, or extreme emotional distress, a stupor can range in severity from a mild lack of responsiveness to a complete inability to be roused. Individuals in a stupor may appear motionless, unresponsive to stimuli like light, sound, or touch, and exhibit difficulty with speech or comprehension. This can indicate a range of underlying medical issues that require immediate care.
