Taboo

Violating a taboo is considered socially unacceptable or offensive, and can result in negative consequences such as social ostracism, spiritual retribution, or legal penalties. Taboos can vary widely across cultures and time periods, reflecting the specific values, anxieties, and beliefs of a society. Taboo meaning with examples

• In many cultures, discussing death immediately after a death has occurred, is considered a taboo. It is believed that this could disturb the spirit of the deceased and bring bad luck to the family.
