Densifies refers to the process of increasing the density of a substance or material. This can involve compacting a solid, concentrating a liquid or gas, or altering the internal structure of a material to reduce its volume for a given mass. The densification process can result from various factors, including applied pressure, changes in temperature, chemical reactions, or the removal of voids or spaces within the material. Densifies meaning with examples

• Manufacturers used a hydraulic press to densify the powdered metal into a solid component, creating a stronger and more durable part than traditional casting methods. The pressure removed air pockets, leading to a much denser product with improved properties, extending its lifespan considerably.
• During sintering, the ceramic material densifies as the particles bond together at high temperatures. The heat causes a reduction in porosity and shrinkage, increasing the density of the ceramic components. This allows it to withstand extreme temperatures and pressures better.
